  • Chocolate Cake with Grilled Bananas

    Chocolate Cake with Grilled Bananas

    Points: 4 per slice
    Calories:

So moist and chocolatey. I made and revised this chocolate cake recipe 7 times to get it just right. Such a good treat for 4 points. After you slice it, I would recommend putting the extra cake in a tupperware container and freeze it so you don't eat half of the entire pan in one sitting like I did. Not a point friendly day for me. But some good chocolate cake. See video for quick assembly demonstration.

Recipe makes 16 servings. 4 points per serving.

  • Puff Pastry Chicken Bake

    Puff Pastry Chicken Bake

    Points: 8 per serving
    Calories:

This recipe was originally supposed to feature spinach in it, but my 9 year old son strongly felt that broccoli is better. I'm glad he talked me into it, because he is right. This is a family-friendly meal that we all enjoy.

Recipe makes 8 servings / 8 points per serving. I used regular puff pastry so it's possible you can save a point or two if you buy a light puff pastry.

Just a nifty little snack for those times when you feel like funneling PB & J like it's coming from a beer keg. I found this bite-sized mini toast at my local grocery store, but they are a little hard to find. You can find and purchase the Bite-sized Mini Toast here.

  • Chocolate Banana Mini Muffins

    Chocolate Banana Mini Muffins

    Points: 2
    Calories:
Regular Pillsbury Devil's food cake mix used here (not sugar free). Cute little treat for birthday parties or a fun snack. I think these have a bit more moisture than similar recipes I've tried that use applesauce in place of oil. Recipe makes 48 mini cupcakes.

These are super moist, soft and delicious. Not quite sweet enough to be considered a cupcake though. No artificial sweeteners used. Recipe makes 20 muffins. I have one of these with eggs and fruit in the morning to make it a more filling breakfast.

  • Grilled Chicken Pizza

    Grilled Chicken Pizza

    Points: 3
    Calories:
I used grilled chicken as the crust of the pizza here and full fat mozzarella. But you can use low fat mozzarella, and/or add turkey pepperoni, vegetables, olives or any other toppings you wish (adjust the points value for any toppings you use). I make the zero point marinara sauce on meal prep day so I can just heat it up, and use it on various dishes throughout the week. Recipe for the Marinara sauce is located in the "Meal Prep Ideas" section of this site, or you can just use the search bar at the top to find it.

  • Bagels

    Bagels

    Points: 3 (each)
    Calories: 225

To get a chewy, tasty bagel, I boil these in water with a little bit of brown sugar. You can skip the boiling part - but I like them better boiled. Use Fage yogurt - that is fresh out of the container. If there is any liquid sitting in the yogurt container, pour it out. I try to get a smooth skin when I'm rolling out the shape of the bagel dough. The smoother they are in dough form, the smoother the bagels will be when they come out of the oven.

The brown sugar used in this recipe may add calories to the bagel. I'm not 100% sure how much of the sugar is actually absorbed into the bagel when boiling. Recipe makes 8 bagels.

You can find and purchase a Dough Cutter here.

    Soft Pretzels

You can skip the boiling part on these pretzels, but they will taste more like pizza dough than pretzels. The baking soda is what gives these awesome treats a very "pretzely" flavor.
