Alfredo Sauce

Alfredo Sauce
This home-made Alfredo sauce is light and creamy with a hint of Parmesan and garlic. Quick and easy to make. Makes 4 servings.
Total Cook/Prep time: 30 minutes


  • 2 cups of "Skim Plus" skim milk (6 sp)
  • 2 tbsp minced fresh garlic
  • 4 tbsp shredded Parmesan cheese (4 sp)
  • 1 tbsp butter (5 sp)
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch (1 sp) used to thicken the sauce
  • salt and pepper


Mix the milk and cornstarch in a bowl to thoroughly combine.

In a small pot, heat the garlic and butter on very low heat for about 4 minutes.

Add milk/cornstarch mixture to the pot.

Simmer for about 5 - 8 minutes stirring slowly but constantly.

Remove from heat, add Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.

Sauce with thicken as it cools.
