Chinese Food Style Salad

I found these really cute Chinese food take-out containers and chop sticks so this salad combo worked out really well. It's just a fun way to enjoy a tasty, crunchy salad.

 

I found the water chestnuts and chow mein noodles in the international section of my local grocery store. The pork is left-over from a roast I did the night before.

Total Cook/Prep time: 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded romaine
  • 4 oz chopped pork pieces
  • 1/2 cup raw snow peas
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup mandarin oranges
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts
  • 1 tbs chow mein noodles
  • For the dressing:
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame seed oil
  • juice of 1 lemon (I bet fresh grated ginger would make it even better)

Directions

Assemble ingredients in the take out containers

Pour dressing on

Eat with chopsticks or a fork
