Meatball Sub

Meatball Sub
Just a tasty hearty sandwich here.
Total Cook/Prep time: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • For the chicken meatballs:
  • 1 lb lean ground chicken
  • 1/2 onion (diced small)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 4" slice of hero bread
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 oz low-fat shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Mix the chicken meatball ingredients together in a bowl (I use my hands)

Form them into 1 - 1 1/2 inch balls

Cook them in a pan on low - medium heat for about 12 - 15 minutes, rotating them as they cook

Set aside.

Place 3 meatballs onto the bottom half of the bread

Top with the sauce, mozzarella cheese and then the top half of the bread
