Waffle Bowl Apple Pies

More fun with these mini waffle cone bowls by Joy Cone Co. I used the recipe I had for mini apple pies, but instead of baking the crust, I used the waffle bowl. This is a super quick and yummy treat you can make in about 10 minutes. No baking involved.

 

Recipe makes 2 apple pie bowls. 3 points without the lite cool whip, or 4 points with 2 tbsp lite cool whip. You can find and purchase the mini waffle cone bowls here.

Total Cook/Prep time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 Granny Smith apple (diced into 1/4” cubes - omit core. I left the skin on but feel free to peel it.)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp all spice
  • sprinkle of nutmeg
  • sprinkle of salt
  • 2 tbsp lite cool whip (optional)

Directions

Heat the diced apples in a small pan on low-medium heat

Add the sugar, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and salt

Mix to combine

Add the applesauce and mix to combine

Heat for about 10 minutes, or until apples are a little soft

Fill each waffle bowl with the apple filling

Optional: top with lite cool whip
