Mix the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
Add the yogurt and mix until all the flour is incorporated to form a ball of dough.
Cover with plastic wrap and set aside.
Prepare the filling:
Peel and chop apples into 1/2 inch pieces.
Place the apples in a bowl and mix in the applesauce, sugar, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and salt
Preheat oven to 400
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Divide the dough into 4 equally sized peices
Roll the first peice into an oval about 6" - 7" wide, and about 4" high
Place 1/4 of the apple filling in a strip onto the oval (leave 1" margin on the left and right)
Gently roll the dough over the filling, into a log shape
Pinch the two ends closed and form the log into a circle shape, pinching the two ends together
Touch up any seams the best you can, and place on the baking sheet
Repeat for remaining peices of dough
Brush the bagels with egg wash and sprinkle a very light dusting of the cinnamon sugar on top
Bake for about 20 - 25 minutes
Allow the bagels to cool for 20 minutes before eating them
Once the bagels are completely cool, store them in a ziplock bag in the freezer. To reheat them, wrap in foil and toast in the toaster oven for 10 minutes.
Happy baking. Have fun!
