These skewers are a completely delicious and easy dinner option. I often use Trader Joe's Soyaki Sauce but if you do not live in close proximity to Trader Joe's you can use the homemade sauce recipe below.
Recipe makes 4 skewers. Each skewer has three 1 oz. cubes of pork.
Make the sauce:
Mix the teriyaki sauce ingredients together in a bowl using a wire whisk.
Transfer to a small pot on the stovetop - heat on low heat for 2 - 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and continue to stir for about 30 seconds.
Set aside and allow it to cool. The sauce with thicken as it cools.
Cut the raw pork chops into 12 cubes. (each skewer will get 3 of the pork cubes, 1 oz cubes)
Place the cut pork in a ziplock bag with half of the Teriyaki Sauce.
Seal the bag and massage the sauce into the pork.
Allow it to marinate in the refrigerator about 30 - 60 minutes.
Cut the bell peppers and onions (large pieces).
Distribute the pork, peppers, onions and pineapple onto 4 skewers rotating the various ingredients on the skewer.
Cook the skewers on the grill until the pork reaches and internal temperature of 145 degrees.
Brush the remaining sauce on the skewers during the last 1 or 2 minutes of cooking.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
