Toaster Oven Chicken Tenders

Toaster-oven Chicken Tenders with crushed corn flakes, few sprays of oil. Provides similar, if not identical results to the air fryer. If you don't overcook them, they will be crisp on the outside and tender/juicy on the inside. Recipe makes about 4 servings (2 tenders per serving).

Yield/Servings: 8 tenders Serving Size: 2 tenders Total Cook/Prep time: 30 minutes

  • 1 lb. package chicken tenderloins (8 tenderloins)
  • 1 1/2 cups cornflakes
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Olive oil (in a spray bottle)

Preheat toaster oven on the bake setting at 450 F.

Line the toaster oven rack with foil.

Wash and dry the chicken. Set aside on a dish or paper towel. Then wash and dry your hands.

Scramble the egg in a small bowl and set aside.

In a separate bowl, crush the cornflakes with your hands and mix in the salt and pepper.

Dip each chicken tender in the scrambled eggs, then into the crushed cornflake mixture (the eggs will help the cornflakes stick).

Spray both sides of the coated tenders with olive oil.

Place the coated chicken on the foil lined rack.

Bake/toast for about 10 minutes on one side. Flip and continue to bake 10 minutes on the second side.
